All the action from the hottest London Marathon on record
Being part of Run Dem Crew for the best part of 7 years, marathon weekend has a great significance within my community.
I decided to start my shoot in Woolwich, South London, a few miles from where I grew up. This early part of the course has wide open roads that wind towards Greenwich and the Cutty Sark.
I initially planned to cross the river at Greenwich and intercept the elites at Canary Wharf, however my route by bike was blocked by road closures.
Thinking quickly, I decided to change tact, commentary via BBC Radio London in ear, and meet them at Westminster. Making the cross town journey with minutes to spare I had a great view of the men's leaders cruising their way up Victoria Embankment and turning into the last mile of the race.
I then made my way back across town to the carnival atmosphere of Mile 21, hosted by my crew... Music, beer and confetti summed up the occasion!
Last stop was back to the finish line to grab some portraits of the finishers. The emotion at the end of a race like this is tangible.
That was a hot one.
