Kennedy takes 200m win ahead of Gout Gout, as Aussies Robinson, Hollingsworth, and Myers dominate

Over the weekend, some of the world's hottest track and field talent took over a sold-out Lakeside Stadium, delivering an electric night of racing under the lights. From dominant performances to unexpected upsets, the meet had it all, proving once again why Australian athletics is on the rise.

Aussies Ky Robinson, Claudia Hollingsworth, and Cam Myers lived up to expectations, stamping their authority in their respective events. Robinson, fresh off a stellar NCAA season, controlled the 5000m with a commanding win in 13:13.17, showcasing his strength in the closing laps. Hollingsworth continued her rapid rise in middle-distance running, storming home to take the 1500m in 4:05.97, holding off a competitive field. Meanwhile, prodigy Cam Myers once again demonstrated why he's one of the most exciting young talents in the sport, surging to victory in the 1500m with a composed and clinical 3:34.98.

The 200m delivered a thrilling battle, with Lachie Kennedy claiming victory over rising star Gout Gout. Kennedy stopped the clock at 20.26, with Gout close behind in 20.30, both delivering world-class performances that set the tone for an exciting season ahead.
