A collection of images from some high performance track workouts in Melbourne, Australia

Melbourne, Australia isn't necessarily a track hot spot on the global radar. But with Commonwealth Games coming up in early April on the Gold Coast, many of Australia's best athletes have been sharpening up in the last few weeks before the meet. Add global superstar Matthew Centrowitz to the mix and it has been a hot month in Melbourne.

We hit the famous MTC Track Tuesday workout to check in on athletes such as Gen LaCaze, Ryan Gregson, Jordy Williamsz, and more.

Luke Mathews

Fresh off a commanding victory in the 800m at the recent National Champs, Luke spent time training at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra before returning home to Melbourne. I joined one of Luke's last track sessions before he returns to the Gold Coast for the Games. Luke was joined by Sam McEntee on pacing duties, and was watched over by his mother and coach, Elizabeth Mathews.
