We catch up with the 10,000m star

Running Things is back this week with Episode Two of Season Two, featuring the amazing Marielle Hall from the Bowerman Track Club in Beaverton, Oregon.

Marielle has lots to talk about, starting with her personal growth in big races - her Doha 2019 10,000m performance was something of a break out for her, in that she dictated her position in the field and took it up to her competitors, rather than letting them decide her outcome. It's something a lot of amateurs grapple with, so it was interesting to hear that even the pro's sometimes doubt whether they should be ahead of or behind someone in a race.

Marielle also offers more thoughts on her recent column in Runner's World 'Racing to Stay Alive' - a column that speaks out about racial inequality in America and details her own experiences in a predominantly white sport of distance running. Finally, Marielle shares her thoughts around a potential switch to the marathon in future.

Riley also takes a look at the main contenders lining up in the London Marathon.
